The Cowboys have released 28-year old safety Roy Williams.  Williams only played in 3 games for the Cowboys last season making 6 tackles.  In 7 years with the Cowboys, Williams played in 98 games and made 506 tackles, defensed 55 passes, had 6.5 sacks, forced 9 fumbles and he intercepted 19 passes (3 returned for TDs).  It will be interesting to see if Williams comes back to haunt the Cowboys in the future or not.

The Dallas Cowboys need some help in the secondary

The Cowboys have placed starting safety Roy Williams on I.R. ending his season as he broke his arm for the 2nd time this season last weekend against the Rams.  Williams only has six tackles this season but he is a force against the running game and the Cowboys will miss him.  CB Pacman Jones has been suspended indefinately by the NFL for an altercation with a bodyguard.  He likely has played the last game of his career with the Cowboys.  Jones has 25 tackles this season and he has returned 16 punts for 80 yards (5.0 avg) proving that he isn’t worth the headaches he brings to an organization.

Bill Parcells retires

I must have had a crystal ball as Bill Parcells called it quits after I predicted it.  It really wasn’t hard to figure out.  Jones brought in Parcells to win playoff games and he never did that in Dallas.  Parcells also didn’t want to coach another season with Terrell Owens on his team and who could blame him.Â
