I decided to take some time and rank all of the QBs that have started at least 1 game for the Dallas Cowboys since 1980.  Here is a look at my rankings:

 1. Troy Aikman – Troy Aikman led the Cowboys to 3 Super Bowl Titles in his time as the starting QB.  The Cowboys were 94-71 (57.0%) in games started by Aikman.  He played in 165 games (all starts) for the Cowboys and he completed 2,898 of 4,715 passes (61.5%) for 32,942 yards with 165 TD passes and 141 INTs (81.6 QB Rating).  Aikman also carried the ball 327 times for 1,016 yards (3.1 ypc) with 9 TD runs.  Aikman made it to 6 Pro Bowls with the Cowboys and he was inducted into Pro Football’s Hall of Fame in 2006.

The Dallas Cowboys had a pretty solid draft

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Cowboys Talk,The Draft Report by admin on Thursday 9 June 2011 at 1:25 pm

The Dallas Cowboys came into this draft wanting to help the offensive line and the defense and I think they were successful in those ventures.  OT Tyron Smith came to the Cowboys in the first round and he should be a starter from Day #1.  He was probably the best offensive lineman in this draft and the Cowboys were ecstatic to see him waiting for them with the 9th overall pick.  They added OG David Arkin in the 4th round and C/G Bill Nagy in the 7th round to help out the depth on the O-Line.  Arkin could develop into a starter down the road.  OLB Bruce Carter slid to the Cowboys in the second round due to a knee injury and the Cowboys were happy with this pick.  RB DeMarco Murray and FB Shaun Chapas were also added to provide some thump in the running game.
