Dallas Cowboys 10, Denver Broncos 17

The Dallas Cowboys (2-2) offense struggled today against the Denver Broncos (4-0) but almost came back late in the game.  Deep in their own territory on fourth down with a minute to go, Tony Romo scrambled around and then floated a pass to Sam Hurd who gained 53 yards on the play.  The Cowboys were able to get it to the Broncos two yard line with nine seconds to go, but the Broncos Champ Bailey broke up two passes and the Cowboys fell short.  Romo finished the game with 255 yards on 25/42 attempts and had an interception.  This is the second straight game Romo has failed to throw a touchdown pass.

The Cowboys defense were not able to contain the Broncos run game and began comitting to hard to it.  Broncos’ quarterback was able to throw two touchdowns because of it.  One was a 51-yard catch and run by Brandon Marshall who cut and weaved his way to the end-zone, breaking tackles throughout. Marion Barber did not look 100% as he ended up with only 11 carries but was able to get 41 yards (3.7 avg).  With Felix Jones still out, Tashard Choice did not have the game he had last week and only had 33 yards on 14 carries (2.4 avg).  The Cowboys need Jones back and they really need to get Romo going.  Romo has not looked good for two straight games now and they need to figure out their passing attack.  The Cowboys are looking to bounce back next week on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.
