The Dallas Cowboys gave up the 2nd round pick acquired from the Browns (#36), a 3rd round pick (#87) and a 5th round pick (#159) for the Eagles #26 pick in the first round.  The Cowboys then selected DE Anthony Spencer with the pick.

The Dallas Cowboys trade down with the Cleveland Browns

The Dallas Cowboys made a great trade for the team’s future as they traded the #22 pick in the first round to the Cleveland Browns for their 2nd round pick this year (#36) and the Browns 2008 first round draft pick.  The Browns 2008 first rounder should be higher than #22.

THANK YOU MIAMI!

I am so glad we can stop the speculation about mighty mite Ginn coming to Dallas!  I don’t believe we need to address WR in the first round, period!  And if we did I would hate to have Ginn!  Let’s go get Gonzalez in the second round.  This is supposed to be the deepest WR draft in awhile, so lets let some other sorry team waste first round picks on WR bust while we go get the next Steve Smith or T.O. (both third rounders!).

And this brings up an interesting scenario:  do any of the teams before Dallas left to pick need a QB?  Might the DCs pick Quinn if he is available?  I know it would be controversial, but he would likely be the best remaining player on the board, right?

Just a thought.

The Dallas Cowboys re-sign OG Joe Berger

Joe Berger was on the Cowboys but he didn’t play a down last year.  In his 2 years in the NFL, Berger has only played in 3 football games.  Look for the 6′5″, 305 pounder to battle for a reserve spot on the offensive line for the Cowboys.
